Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons water
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 3/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/3 cup Sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2kg chicken wings, split at joints, tips removed
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions (for garnish)
- 1 to 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
Method:
- In the slow cooker pot, mix the cornflour and lime juice until dissolved.
- Add the honey, soy sauce, Sriracha sauce, sesame oil, ginger and garlic to the pot. Stir well to combine.
- Add the chicken wings to the pot and stir until they are well coated with the sauce.
- Cook on HIGH for 2 hours or on LOW for 4 hours and remove the wings from the pot and place them on a foil-lined baking tray.
- Transfer the remaining sauce to a saucepan and cook over medium heat until thickened.
- Brush the thickened sauce over the wings and grill them for 15 mins or until they are crispy.
- Before serving, sprinkle the wings with the finely chopped spring onions and sesame seeds.
